SolarShield® is Craghoppers’ sun-protective fabric system engineered to offer reliable ultraviolet (UV) defence. With a UPF rating of 40+ (and in some tests up to 50+), it blocks approximately 97.5–98% of UV radiation, shielding covered skin from both UVA and UVB rays. The protection is built into the fabric through a combination of tight yarn selection, high fabric density, and deliberate colour choice. While SolarShield® gives you strong sun coverage, it’s still wise to apply sunblock on exposed skin and to take additional sun-safe precautions.
